Margita Titlová is one of the most profoundly productive and unique Czech artists of her generation. Her new series, created at ArtMill in 2019, continues her long interest in issues of the feminine, alchemy, transformation, and process. Inspired by the water surrounding the mill, the intense Yves Klein blue wedding dress series evokes the liquid element of our corporeality, our connection to the earth, and perhaps a sly slap at the masculinist modernity that allowed Klein and early performance artists to use women's bodies as their objects in public performances. 

ArtMill was fortunate to invite Margita to create a seminar at ArtMill during her residency for the international Study Abroad students from the University of California, USA.
