Service Description

5 days at ArtMill in po-šumava with intensive instruction on the traditional Native American art of weaving. Includes food and camping. Pension available for additional fee. Denise is a master artist, bringing the centuries old tradition of her tribe, the Mountain Maidu of California, to our region. Students will learn the basics of picking, drying, and preparation both physically and spiritually to weave. We will discuss the stories that will be told in the basket form, with plenty of individual time with the teacher. Home-cooked meals of organic garden foods are served around the fire each day. Swimming, bike-riding, and hiking in local forests during break times. Registration limited to 15 persons.
